Did early Christians have painted or graven images? What about crosses? Have crosses ever been called the ‘mark of the Beast’? What did 2nd, 3rd, and 4th century writers say about idols? What about tradition? Will the Beast and the final Antichrist push idolatry? Will God get rid of all idols? What did Jesus teach about worshipping God in truth? What are physical and spiritual reasons that images of God are not appropriate for true believers? Did Pope Pius XII endorse pagan practices and images in his 1951 encyclical? Were idols or images part of the original Christian faith that Jude wrote we should contend for? Does the Book of Revelation show the second death impacting those who will not repent of idolatry?
